New Hand Painted Eyes in my Etsy Store!!
I got inspired in doctor office when I was waiting for my girl to have well-check up! Yes, you didn't read wrong, it's in doctor office, they have so many children books, body pictures and many other things that inspired me to create my hand-painted eyes. This time I have frog/toad eyes, they are 21mm wide!! I also have 24mm pearl yellow and pearl orange eyes. Last one is the 18mm Spin eyes. You know what I was thinking when I was painting these? I was thinking my fan. I can't wait for the summer time to come! It's wet and yucky these days. My hubby looked at these eyes and he spin them in front of me, he was pretending magician to hypnotize me!! It's fun! =)

Hand Painted Eyes * Frosty Marble *
Oh Boy am I crazy recently? I have been experimenting different colors on hand painted eyes! I love pearl eyes, but plain pearl eyes now just isn't enough!
Old story: When I was in high school, at the time I need to choose what to study! It was many years ago. I like drawing, designs, I have been studying that in school for a few years, it's time to choose a main subject for the future, I wanted to follow my heart to get a diploma in design. However, I couldn't do that, my father told me the reality, the real world about designs, he told me nobody could make a living just doing design, not until a person is totally famous and a person totally famous may be happen 1 every 1000 of people. Result I took different course and listened to my father.
New Story: Since I have worked all these years, never touch my drawing since graduated of high school, then all the sudden, selling eyes in etsy, and all the sudden I started to paint these little eyes! Life is like a circle. Once I start to paint again, I can't stop, I ask myself to do a little more each time and I am loving it!
After these story, aren't we bored yet? So I am showing you these pictures of my newly creations! =) Drumroll please!!!
My new serious "FROSTY MARBLE", these I have to do it in 2 different days because of so many layers I have to paint to create frosty and marble effects, they shimmer too, it's really beautiful!

Hand Painted Kawaii Eyes
This week I hand painted some Kawaii Eyes for me and you! =) I love amigurumi, of course I have to save some for myself!
Have you watched all these Japanese Kawaii cartoons? I know I have! I am always amazed of how those cartoon producers can draw these little cute critters, especially the eyes, just a few dots more in the pupils and it show the critter emotions by no time! I love those critters, and mostly cartoons! LOL
I am inspired by those cartoons and created these adorable cute eyes. These are 12mm eyes, I have used pearl green, pearl white and pearl pink colors on these eyes! I hope you like it!

Eye Heart You
Last night I created this design on my 21mm eyes! I really like this! I put it up this morning (Sat) and it is sold within a few minutes! I was jumping up and down in the kitchen telling my hubby about that. I know, it's crazy! I haven't been jumping like this for a long time, you know, I am getting old and can't do this very often! LOL
Thoughts - I designed this not just only for Valentine's Day. When we make our soft toys, it's filled with love and hard work. Eyes are always the soul of a critter, I think not only the critter itself can show the love, but also the eyes, it's telling the person who receive the soft toys that the creator is truly putting her/his heart into it. Putting this together is a lot of fun, I hope you will like it!
Size: 21mm (inch: 0.83 or 13.23/16)
I will paint more of these and put them in my etsy store. I also do custom order. Just send me a message and I will reply asap! =)

12 mm Hand Painted Safety Eyes Zombie Ghost Eyes
Newly Hand-Painted 12mm Zombie eyes are available in my etsy store! These eyes are bigger, good for medium size monster, zombie or ghost-liked amigurumi! Nah... Actually it's good for any project you want! I first of thinking to paint these bigger sizes monster eyes when I tried to make the amigurumi panda! After I tried different colors into the panda, I finally decided to use a pair of hand-painted 9mm instead of 12mm. I think smaller eyes are just better for a panda with a big dark circle around the eyes! It's natural! However, I will crochet more amis in the future by using my hand-painted eyes so that you will see how they look like!
I personally think using hand-painted eyes will bring the amis more alive because of the shimmer effects. Have you looked right at the cat eyes? They are shimmering, like pearl, very lovely! Although crochet/ knit animals are for fun, but you do want to put some "soul" and heart into it, that's why eyes are important! If you want to see more amis that I have crochet these last 2 years, please check out my flickr!

Amigurumi Panda
A few days ago I saw a pattern from Lion Brand website. I was really interested in it. My daughter Katie did too, so picked up my crochet hook again to crochet another amigurumi! I can't help it, it's too much fun! I have tons of Caron Simply Soft Brites yarns, I picked up black and mango (like orange) and started my new project. It didn't take long for me to crochet all the parts but it took me forever to sew them up. This is the worst part of amis. I just don't like sewing much! :P
Details:
Crochet hook: F/4mm
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Brites
Eyes: 9mm hand-painted eyes (hot pink color)
Nose: 10mm oval eye

Recently I have these 7.5mm beautiful eyes and I finally got them listed today. These are very beautiful eyes. It can be used for small to medium size amigurumi, stuffed animals. If you are looking for decent eyes that are colorful for your soft toys, click here to get it! The 3rd picture is not my picture, it belongs to my dear friend, Lucy! She knits a lot of animals for fund raising. Some people have told me it's very hard to use colorful eyes because it's hard to match the colors of the soft toys. Are these little critters cute? I think Etsian artists really rock! Etsy is full of talented people indeed. Now these bunch of critters are all handmade by Nina! Isn't she great? These are all original designs by her. She sell these in her etsy store. These animals are so cuddly, I think that's why her etsy store named cuddlet.etsy.com.
She is not only selling animals, she has these PDF tutorials about making these lovely soft toys too!! I like her creatures. They are very colorful. You will smile and happy when you are cuddling these animals I am sure! :) More information you can go to her website directly: Cuddlet.com.

WackyJacky - Toys in the Attic
Jacky came to me about 6 months ago asking about big eyes!! That's how I knew about "Toys in the Attic" truly means!
She is truly a very talented critters designer. She creates and hand made all these attic monsters by herself. Aren't they all look like the one you have imagined when you were little? lol (Except these may be a lot cuter!!)
She also hand painted her eyes to match her critters. Her critters are very unique looking. You can't find there anywhere! All the monsters she made are in very good sizes. With the price she offers in Etsy, these are a must have if you like monsters in your attic! :D

Hand Painted Pearl Eyes - 10.5mm round plastic eyes
In the market, there are not many varieties of 10.5mm commercial eyes that I can provide in my store! Mostly I can find are clear round eyes and solid black eyes, how boring is that?
Since I have been painting my pearl eyes, I thought I should give it a try to paint 10.5mm eyes. It's the perfect sizes for medium size critters! OK, off to go the table and start working!!
Outcomes: perfect! I love it! :) Bright and lovely!
I always like that pearl, shimmering look in these little eyes! Yes, I am crazy!! My hubby always says I am so obsessed with animals plastic eyes! Well.. I don't know why, I like to look at them and think what animals can be created behind these eyes! To me, looking at eyes are like looking at the soul of every creatures on earth!
STORY: When I was REAL young, I like to look directly into boy's eyes. If they are deep and looking back at me, I will feel "zipppp", like electric shocks, lol, didn't you have that feelings before? Luckily not many boys at that age would do that! They were so afraid and they just looked somewhere else! What?? Normal? Nah... anyway, that's good, it saved me lots of troubles!
Back to NOW: Because I love eyes, now I am selling them! You can find shimmering-looking pearl animal safety eyes in Etsy store and Artfire store!

Meeka Sews
I knew Meeka (titaniumhip.etsy.com) for a long long time! At first, she really got me noticed is of her last name, it's similar to my hubby's first name! It's not very usual name, that's why I noticed her! She came to me to purchase some eyes in my store. I got into a habit automatically go to my customer's etsy shop to see their works. I am kinda nosey I admit! :P
One day as usual I checked out her shop and found out all these little critters she have been making! They are so cute, so unique! She is not only making critters by sewing them, she also paints! She gave them personalities and they are a bunch of cuties to have in the house to make you smile! In Etsy I always look at other Etsian's work and wonder how talent they are. She is one of them that amazed me! Her works are one-of-a-kind! If you are interested, please check out her etsy shop! More info you can visit her blog!
