Blythe's Beret hat

I just got this cotton yarn (Lion Brand Cotton Ease) and I thought I would give it a try to make a Beret! This yarn is not easy to work with, it splitting quite a lot, however I like the color, finally the hat came out pretty good! Beret is a little bigger than I thought, next time I will use a smaller yarn and try that again! This hat took me about 5 hours to do it, I know, I am a slow crocheter! :)

Ravelry Blythe Swap #2

I have joined Raverly for a while, and I found this group called "Knitting for Blythe". People there are so nice, and they always have new style of dresses for Blythe and so many beautiful gals. A month ago, I joined this Blythe Swap, I am so excited about this, it's my first SWAP and I wanted to make it enjoyable. The moment I joined my mind go wild. I have been thinking what kind of dress should I make? or hat? or WHAT? I have no idea. I have tried several yarns, different sizes, different crochet hook sizes, finally I got what I wanted and mailed them out on the deadline. The whole process allowed me to try different things on yarns, skills and patterns and I love it. If there is more Blythe SWAP I will join it again defintely :) These gifts I got from knittygirlie. She created this dust bunny, and she knitted this beautiful purple dress with a cat on it. You can tell how much work would that be! We all love these very much!!! Thanks Knittygirlie.

Rosie is here!!!

I have been looking for a Mademoiselle Rosebud (MRB) for a long time! However, every single one I saw either was too expensive or they have already been customized. I don't really like all these customization for MRB, I wanted one that's natural and original, even though a 2nd hand doll I would not mind at all. I searched for TIB, Blythe for adoption in flickr group, I just couldn't find one that's what I wanted. Finally a few days ago I saw a photo of MRB in flickr group the owner said she wanted to send her to a good home. I at once sent a message to the owner and asked. Oh My God, pricing was within my range, blythe was fully stock, clothes wasn't fully stock but at that point, my gut told me " go for it, that's the one you wanted all this time " . I made a payment instantly and hoped for the best! This seller I bought MRB from was pipercat99, she was such a nice person, we chatted back and forth since I adopted her MRB. She is the nicest, kindest person I ever met online these days. We chatted so much it's just naturally becomes friends. I love that!!!! Since I have Blythe, I have doubted myself whether I could bond with these cutie gals, I have tried my best with MM and EP, however, with MRB, everything is just so natural! Love grows within myself to her! It's just a weird feeling! :) I am so happy that I got her, thanks pipercat99!!!

Alla and blue dress

I made Alla new dress last night. She is happy that she got this new dress and she demanded to take pictures this morning under the sun. She also asked about going outside. Alla: mama, it's 65F outside, I can wear this sundress and it will be nice to lay down on the grass. Mama: gal, the grass is all wet from the rain! Alla: please please please.. Mama: You sound like the other girl I have! *sigh*.

Alla and her new hat

I made this purple hate for Alla when Evie and Katie were taking a nap. The hat is a little plain and simple, I think I need to add a flower on it, or at least something!! Well.. when the time I finished this hat, it was time to cook dinner and woke up my angels, there fore I couldn't do anything with it yet. Evie is getting jealous of me playing Blythe dolls and not playing her Barbie dolls with her. She saw Alla's hat and said " Mommy, I want one too". I said "Ok, I will make one for you Barbie", then she is satisfied. :) The very first day I got my dolls, these are the conversations I had with Evie Me: Look! I got new dolls. Evie: Mommy, let me see (usually means she want to hold it) Me: Evie, you got to be careful, these are expensive, you can't play with it, it's not for you to play. Evie: but Mommy why? Me: These are for mommy, not for you, you got your Barbie dolls. Evie: I share my Barbie dolls with you. You got to share, mommy! (it's a payback for me cos we have been telling her to share her toys with Katie) Me: Evie, I can't share this with you, it's really expensive. Evie: why not? I share my toys with you, you share yours with me. (OUCH) Me: Ok, you can pull the string here, okok, not too hard here, be careful.... ......

Finally I broke down and got myself 2 gals! Now my family has 4 girls together! 2 from my own, 2 from adoption! :) I feel so good to have them in my house finally. They spent new year eve and new year day together in NYC post office, poor things. Now Alla and Lillian finally save at home!
